Curbside Pickup is available upon request.

Curbside is limited to 10 items per library card/account.

Borrowing time for Curbside follows our circulation policies: Books and DVDs can be borrowed for 2 weeks, and most other items (such as games) can be borrowed for 1 week.

After receiving your request, Library staff will check out your items to you and place them in a bag with your name on it. Items on hold for Curbside will stay on hold for you for 2 weeks.

Follow these easy steps to pick up curbside items:
Step 1: Find your items
  • Search our catalog for items available at the Library, and locate the items you want.
Step 2: Request your items
  • Through your account on the catalog: Sign into your library account. For each item you want to pick up curbside, click "Hold It" on the item's search result.
  • Through the form on this page: Type in a list of requested items.
  • Through email: Email fairfaxlibrarian@gmail.com with the list of items you would like to borrow.
Step 3: Pick up your items
  • Grab your bag and enjoy!​

If I have mobility challenges and cannot leave my car, what should I do?
You can call the Library or let us know in your online request if you would like to arrange for the staff to bring the bagged items to your car or place them in your trunk.

What is the Library staff doing to maintain safety measures?
The staff works to ensure contactless curbside service by placing your requests in a bag for you to pick up yourself when you arrive.

What should I do with my returns?
The Library's drop box is available for returns at any time; for the duration of the BFA-Fairfax construction/renovation project, the Library's drop box is located at the Fairfax Town Office at 12 Buck Hollow Road.
