Lambda (Lammy) Literary Awards

Today, the Lammys celebrate more than 150 LGBTQ writers across 26 categories spanning a number of genres, lived identities, and experiences. We continue to proudly recognize works by self-published authors and independent and academic presses alongside works supported by traditional big 5 publishers."
National Book Awards
Established in 1950, the National Book Awards are American literary prizes administered by the National Book Foundation, a nonprofit organization. ...Although other categories have been recognized in the past, the Awards currently honor the best Fiction, Nonfiction, Poetry, Translated Literature, and Young People’s Literature, published each year."
Over the Rainbow Books
"Over the Rainbow Book List is created by a committee of the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Round Table (GLBTRT) of the American Library Association (ALA). The committee will create an annual bibliography of books that exhibit commendable literary quality and significant authentic LGBT content for general adult readers over age 18. The bibliography includes books published between July 1 and December 31 of the previous calendar year."

Pura Belpré Award
"This award is named after Pura Belpré, the first Latina librarian at the New York Public Library. The Pura Belpré Award, established in 1996, is presented annually to a Latino/Latina writer and illustrator whose work best portrays, affirms, and celebrates the Latino cultural experience in an outstanding work of literature for children and youth."
Stonewall Book Awards
"The first and most enduring award for LGBTQIA+ books is the Stonewall Book Awards, sponsored by the [ALA's] Rainbow Round Table (formerly the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Round Table). Since Isabel Miller's Patience and Sarah received the first award in 1971, many other books have been honored for exceptional merit relating to the LGBTQIA+ experience."
