The Fairfax Community Library regularly accesses large print materials for patrons through the ABLE Library through the Vermont Department of Libraries. This is a free resource for qualifying Vermonters, offering Large Print and digital talking books and a variety of other services directly to patrons.
The ABLE Library connects patrons of all ages to the services of the National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled.
It offers a collection of Large Print and digital talking books featuring all genres, many print braille picture books, as well as audio-described DVDs.
The ABLE Library hosts a book club and it welcomes new members.
If you, or someone you know, is blind or has a visual impairment, reading disability, or has trouble holding books or turning pages, check out the ABLE Library!
