Saturday, June 20-Wednesday, August 12: Reading Dragons & Friends
Reading Dragons is a deck building and battling game similar to Pokémon–with different types of creatures and the ability to evolve them and make them more powerful. To build your deck and evolve your creatures all you have to do is read! Every 20 minutes of reading can be used to either evolve a card or get a new one. The more you read, the more cards you can collect, and the more powerful you can make them! Please register. See also the Summer Reading Program.

Family Events (for Youth & Adults)

Wednesday, August 12, at 1 pm: Summer Reading Finale with Fizzical Fairytales!
Archeologist Deirdre Trowel (friends call her “Diggy”), and partner, Dug, sift through medieval evidence of well-known children’s songs & rhymes. Inspect the treasures they find, sing the songs they unearth, and play the games children played hundreds of years ago! After the performance, we will be announcing the summer reading raffle winners, so be sure to stay until the end! This event takes place at the Fairfax Town Office.

Adult Events

Tuesday, August 4, 3 pm: Library Book Club
The book this month is The Road to Tender Hearts by Annie Hartnett. A Zoom link will be available for anyone who wants to attend remotely. If you would like to borrow a copy of the book, or request the Zoom link, please contact the Library. All are welcome!

June 20 – August 12: Adult Summer Reading Program
Instead of our usual book bingo, we’re doing something a little different this year! We will still have a list of book categories, but instead of getting a raffle ticket for each bingo, you get a raffle ticket for every category you read for. Sign up here, and either print the form from the sign up page, or stop by the library to pick one up! Winners will be announced on August 12.

Board of Trustees

There is no Trustees’ meeting this month.
