ABLE Library Services
Are you or someone you know blind or have a visual impairment, reading disability, or trouble holding books or turning pages? The Library regularly accesses large print materials for patrons through the Vermont Department of Libraries’ ABLE Library.
The ABLE Library is a free resource for qualifying Vermonters, offering patrons a variety of direct services:
- Connects all ages to the services of the National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled.
- Offers a collection of large print and digital talking books featuring all genres, many print braille picture books, as well as audio-described DVDs.
- Hosts a book club and welcomes new members.
To receive services, fill out and submit the Application for ABLE Library Services.
