American Sewing Guild (ASG)
The national nonprofit for people of all skill levels who love to sew. “Advancing Sewing as an Art and Life Skill.”
Barn Quilts of Northern Vermont (BQofNVT)
“There are now at least 608 barn quilts gracing barns, homes, and other structures at 508 locations in Franklin County.”
Franklin County Quilter’s Guild (FCQG)
“The Franklin County Quilters Guild is located in Franklin County, Vermont, and meets in St. Albans at the American Legion, 100 Parah Drive, at 6:30 pm on the [second] Wednesday of each month. We come together to share our love of quilting and learn from one another. We also share a civic mission by providing free quilts to deserving individuals and organizations and sponsoring a free annual quilt show and exhibit every spring at the St. Albans City Hall. All are welcome.”

Vermont Fibershed
“The mission of the Vermont Fibershed is to promote local natural fiber production and processing within the state and nearby region. We support sustainable practices that honor our land resources and New England’s historical contributions to textile production. Our goal is to link producers: from farmers to finished products to consumers at all levels.
“Our immediate goal is to develop an online directory of fiber producers, processors, production weavers, knitters, felters, sewers, dyers, and other makers as a networking guide within the local industry and for consumers of local natural fiber products. The Vermont Fibershed website will include current educational opportunities, open farm and studio events, fairs and festivals.”
Vermont Sheep & Wool Festival

Handcrafted Soap & Cosmetic Guild (HSCG)
“Founded in 1998 by an enterprising group of makers who saw the need to support a growing handcrafted industry, the Handcrafted Soap and Cosmetic Guild was formed and operates as a not for profit, membership organization.
“The HSCG mission statement reflects our dual commitment to helping individual makers and businesses grow, while supporting the broader handcrafted industry through four key functions: promotion, communication, education and representation of handcrafted soap, cosmetic and candle makers.”
Vermont Clay Guild (VCG)

The East Kingdom of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA)
“The East Kingdom is a part of the Society for Creative Anachronism, Inc. (SCA), an inclusive community pursuing research and re-creation of pre-seventeenth century skills, arts, combat and culture. The lives of participants are enriched as we gain knowledge of history through activities, demonstrations, and events. The East Kingdom covers eastern Pennsylvania, eastern New York, Delaware, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Quebec, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Newfoundland.”
Fairfax Community Theatre Company (FCTC)
“The Fairfax Community Theatre Company (FCTC) began in 1991 when a small group of Fairfax residents decided to start a community theatre that would allow local people the opportunity to participate in the performing arts without traveling a great distance.
“…Participation in FCTC is open to any individual in any community who is interested in the performance, technical or production aspects of community theatre. Membership in the organization is open to any individual over the age of 12 who has participated in a FCTC production within the last year. Membership is free.”
