All written and photographic content on this website is created by the Library’s staff and/or Board of Trustees, unless otherwise credited. Black-and-white line art across the website comes from the Noun Project, with attribution to each artist included in each image.

Photographic and/or video content is only published on this website with written consent of people present in said media.

The Library uses the cover art of books and other items in our collections, via our catalog (or via author/creator, publisher, or professional peer review websites) to inform patrons about available materials.

Privacy

General

From the Library’s Digital Use Policy (as of November 2022): “The Library is committed to the privacy of our patrons. Computers can store temporary and permanent data; therefore, users should be aware that it is not always possible to maintain privacy on Library computers” and other digital technology.

We encourage patrons to research digital and Internet safety and privacy concerns and practices (see Digital Literacy Resources for more information).

Library account-holding patrons are welcome to use the Library’s Catalog to view their confidential library account.

This Website

The Library’s website does not allow patrons to create accounts, post comments, or upload content on the website. This is in part to protect patrons’ privacy. See External or 3rd-Party Sites (below) to learn more.

The Library is reviewing and learning, including from professional peer review, about new technologies such as AI before considering implementing them.
