The library has a variety of materials for children of all ages, including books, audio books, videos, DVDs and magazines. Fun events take place all year long. See our Happenings page for the latest news.

DCF and GMBA
The library purchases all the DCF (Dorothy Canfield Fisher) and GMBA (Green Mountain Book Award) title each year. Many are also available on a Listen Up Vermont.
Titles for the DCF and GMBA lists are chosen by librarians each year as the best of the best for young readers and young adults. Young readers vote on their favorite book form the list in the spring, and a state-wide winner is announced in April.

Vermont Youth Book Awards
Our library participates in all three of Vermont's youth book awards. Students in grades K–12 and homeschooled students are encouraged to participate.
Red Clover Award
Students in grades K–4 choose their favorite picture book out of ten nominees.
Dorothy Canfield Fisher Award
Named for famous Vermont author Dorothy Canfield Fisher, this award for best juvenille fiction or non-fiction is chosen by 4th–8th graders from a list of thirty nominees.
Green Mountain Book Award
This award was created for high school students in grades 9–12. They vote for their favorite young adult fiction or non-fiction book from a list of fifteen nominees.
